Capsule filling and encapsulation

Your formula, filled into capsules on an NJP-2000, polished, inspected and counted into bottles, without ever leaving the building.

The NJP-2000 encapsulator on the production floor

What we run

Encapsulation happens on an NJP-2000 automatic capsule filler. The blend is dosed into the capsule body by a tamping station, the cap is closed and locked, and the finished capsule leaves the turret to be polished. It is the machine the rest of the line is built around, and it is on the floor in Carroll County, where you can ask to see it running.

Sizes and shells

We fill sizes 00, 0 and 1, in either vegetarian or gelatin shells. Size governs how much blend a capsule holds, so it is decided together with your formula rather than before it: a dense mineral blend and a light botanical extract at the same milligram dose need different shells. If you are not sure which you need, that is part of what formulation support is for.

Polished, inspected, counted

Filled capsules go through a polisher, which removes loose powder from the outside of the shell and gives the capsule the finish you expect to see in the bottle. From there they pass inspection, metal detection and a counting line before bottling, capping and labelling. Every stage is recorded against the batch.
